Our story
The owners, husband and wife duo Sunny and Maya, have curated a delicious menu that showcases their select favourite recipes from their home country of Nepal. Yak and Yeti is more than just a restaurant - it’s a story. Decorated with photographs of Sunny’s childhood home in the foothills of the Himalayas, and an educational and vibrant menu, we aim to transport you into our world. And, as a former Himalayan mountain guide himself, Sunny is always ready to recall an anecdote from his inspiring adventures and delve into the in’s and out’s of the diverse Nepalese culture, landscape, and cuisine. Meet our team
Bikash and Bishwas Acharya - two brothers with a generational passion for cooking. Both are originally from Nepal, and got their start from a young age working in their family restaurant, serving popular Nepalese dishes to locals in their hometown of Pokhara.
Bikash’s fondness for gastronomy saw him travelling the world to gain experience in numerous cuisines, and eventually became promoted to head chef in Dubai’s 5-star hotel, Atlantis, The Palm. Though that’s no match for Yak and Yeti, clearly!

Following in his older brother’s footsteps, Bishwas’s love for food saw him venturing to Dubai to deepen his knowledge of the culinary world. After perfecting his skills in the Italian cuisine, he’s now back to his roots in Yak and Yeti serving up beloved dishes from home.
